T-Slots or Threaded Holes

T-slots are precisely machined grooves with undercut T-shaped profiles running along granite base surfaces, allowing secure clamping and positioning of machine components using T-bolts. Threaded holes are tapped holes with standardized threads (typically metric or imperial) drilled into the granite, providing direct threaded fastening points. Both features enable flexible, rigid, and repeatable mounting of equipment, fixtures, and accessories on vibration-damping granite bases in precision manufacturing environments.

T-slots work by accepting T-bolts that slide into the slot and rotate 90 degrees to lock under the overhanging edges, distributing clamping forces across the granite surface. Threaded holes provide direct threaded engagement for bolts or studs, creating fixed mounting points. Both utilize granite's dimensional stability, mass, and vibration-damping properties to maintain alignment and reduce machine tool errors.
