Capacitor (Fixed)

A fixed capacitor is an electronic component with a constant capacitance value, constructed from two conductive plates separated by a dielectric material. In resonant circuits, it works with inductors to create specific resonant frequencies for applications like signal filtering, oscillation, and impedance matching. Unlike variable capacitors, its capacitance cannot be adjusted after manufacturing.

It operates by storing electrical charge between its plates when voltage is applied, creating an electric field across the dielectric. In a resonant circuit, it interacts with an inductor to form an LC circuit, where energy oscillates between the capacitor's electric field and the inductor's magnetic field at a resonant frequency determined by the capacitance and inductance values.
